2. DO SESSIONS COME WITH AN ENGINEER?
Yes each recording session comes with an engineer. You won't have to worry about anything technical. As long as you're prepared we can start recording your after a brief sound check
3. IS EDITING INCLUDED WITH THE SESSION?
Minor Audio editing is also included with each session this entails removing any distracting accidental sounds or noises, segments parts that you deem inappropriate or aren't needed for the podcast, adding intro and outro music and a quick mix & master. If you are doing an unscripted podcast (meaning it's conversational and/or you haven't rehearsed or written what you're going to to say) then the minor editing is probably all you'll need. But if you want more fine tuned editing (which is usually needed scripted podcasts) then editing is $60/hr.
4. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU RECORD AT ONE TIME?
Seven people. Our table can seat 7. However we have six total microphones so somebody will have to share a mic if recording 7 people
5. DO YOU HAVE A PHONE LINE TO RECORD PEOPLE REMOTELY?
Yes, we have a lan line phone that we can record people remotely with. In addition we also can do conference calls that we can setup using our ZOOM account and we can also record call directly off any smart phone. Just let us know hat your specific needs are when booking. HOWEVER WE DO NOT HAVE AN ISDN LINE
6. IS DRINKING OR SMOKING ALLOWED?
Drinking is allowed. However, we reserve the right to remove any individuals that we deem are a threat to themselves and others, and/or studio staff and property. Smoking is not allowed on the premises
7. DOES THE STUDIO OWN THE CONTENT THAT IS RECORDED
No, all content recorded is considered the property of our clients. We will keep a copy of all files recorded for up to six months (in case you need us to resend anything) but the content is yours.
8. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE AUDIO AND VIDEO FILES.
Within 24hrs., typically within a few hours after your session. If recording after 8pm you typically expect to receive your files late afternoon the next day if not sooner.
9. CAN WE HAVE PEOPLE THAT AREN'T RECORDING IN STUDIO?
Yes, but please be advised that we do not have a separate waiting area. We do have a couch and some additional chairs for non-recording guests. HOWEVER, they must be silent during the recording and you must let the studio know of any non-recording guests prior to your session.
10. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND/RESCHEDULE POLICY?
REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN IN THE EVENT OF A CANCELLATION. REFUNDS WILL ONLY BE GIVEN IN THE EVENT THAT BROOKLYN PODCASTING STUDIO CANCELS THE SESSION OR DEEMS THAT THE PROPER SERVICES WERE NOT DELIVERED OR WERE UNSATISFACTORY. FOR RESCHEDULES WE MUST HAVE AT LEAST A 48 HOUR NOTICE TO BE RESCHEDULED WITHOUT ANY FEE. SESSIONS CAN BE RESCHEDULED ONE TIME AT NO COST AS LONG AS IT IS 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE. YOU MAY REQUEST TO RESCHEDULE YOUR SESSION IF IT IS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE ORIGINAL SCHEDULED TIME BUT ONLY IF WE HAVE AVAILABILITY AND A $45 RESCHEDULE FEE MAY BE APPLIED
